Doug Engelbart and the Digital Revolution

50 years ago today, on December 9, 1968, Doug Engelbart sparked the tech revolution by presenting the Mother of All Demos - a stunning visualization based on his work at SRI, that influenced and encouraged the PC revolution. Alan Kay and the Dynabook (before there were laptops and tablets) the graphical user interface, Andy Van Dam and hypertext. The mouse. Apple and the Macintosh. Bob Metcalfe and Ethernet.
